dlaing Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 For Guzzi to make a V8 they would have to charge 20,000 Euro or outsource the engine from Chinaslovokiastan....which may not be a bad idea. The Moto Chinaslovokiastanian Guzzi V8 engine would probably have to be semi disposable, but that is OK, right?
Frenchbob Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Someone should forward this post to MG headquarters. Maybe they could make one just for Frenchbob, just to see how much he can make on the streets of Limoges lol Maybe thats what started all those protests & riots recently? 86254 No, that wasn't me: that was the power of YOUTH, in a real DEMOCRACY. Wonderful stuff. I've sobered up a little since I posted. I wouldn't sell the Jag.
belfastguzzi Posted April 16, 2006 Posted April 16, 2006 Remember that MCN has also promised us that Guzzi is launching The Stelvio in early 2007 – a competitor for BM's GS. They showed the drawing. Cough...
O2 V11 Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 It may be a case of conjecture, premature conjecture at that. Time will tell. Rob
Guest golden goose Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 SCOOP! Dateline: Classified TOP SECRET Location: One of the 'stans Moto Guzzi, long known for its careful nurturing of its trademark V-twin engines, and for a rare V8 model sometime in the 50's according to somebody, is refining a new entry in the superbike arena. Here are some spy photos obtained at great risk of the new V8 model rumoured to be ready for production in 2007. With a classic seating positon familiar to all bike riders, the new scoot is also rumoured to hit 136.36 mph in first gear! A radical new frame is especially light, doing away with brakes entirely!
Guest golden goose Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 This just in, our "'stan man" was able to get his hands on the draft operators manual for the new brakeless V8 reported earlier. This page was found under the chapter titled "Stopping the Bike".

helicopterjim R.I.P. Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 Alexander Graham Bell! Didn't he invent the, umm, the bell? 86305 DING! Give the guy a point Ben.
Frenchbob Posted April 17, 2006 Posted April 17, 2006 DON'T give him one, Ben: he's got too many he hasn't earned already. In any case, Alexander Graham Bell invented the telephone, not the bell. Alexander Graham Telephone [no relation] invented the bell. Point?

beauchemin Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 As sexy as a V8 would be, it wouldn't have wabi-sabi.
