just wondering, who has the most km's or miles on his clock?

If you have opened your engine for repears, please say whats been done on it!

mine has 38000kilometres on the clock without major repears

45K km.

 

Other than the transmission recall, the cases haven't been opened. She runs like a Champ! :wub:

 

I'm getting close to a heads-off valve guide inspection, hoping to pre-empt potential extensive top-end work.

 

Some of the reports here and elsewhere of premature valve stem and guide wear have me a little concerned.... :o

58000 miles (93,341 km) - 1997 Sport 1100i. Heads ported, seems to need a timing chain - 200 miles in the last 5 years.

 

38000 miles (61,155 km) - 1997 California 1100i. Clutch replaced once. Had 2800 miles (4506 km) on it when I bought it.

 

31500 miles (50,694 km) - 2001 V11 Sport TT. Rebuilt after being totaled. Engine intact except for timing cover case. Now has a 1996 Sport 1100i frame. 2200 miles since it was totalled in September 2003. Had 530 miles (853 km) on it when I bought it in 2002.

 

I put 4400 miles on the V65 that I got rid of last year too. Had it 3 years. Good riddance.

 

I ought to be out riding right now. The cataract surgeries are pretty well healed up...

21,150 miles in 9 months of having the bike on the road.

 

Down time due to shock blowing,starter eating itself and various other maladies.

over 250,000 Kms on a V50III been round the 'block' twice in my (& my friend's) keeping. (some 12 years)

 

replaced clutch twice, shaft drive once , rings once, main seal & valve stem seals. That's about it engine wise.

 

still going.... looks like it's been through a war (hey they did have them in military trim right)... :D

 

so restoration coming up in a month or so.

90,000miles+ on V65. Major top end overhaul at about 80,000. Loads of little things like batteries. All expensive.

 

Did nearly 100,000 on an MZ. One big end (it had been standing for some years) one K/S spring and one battery. Otherwise just routine maintenance and repairs to vandalism/thievery. About another 20,000 on other MZs.

 

40,000 on a Panther. Too much to mention - many previous owners.

 

Probably another 100,000 on various Velocettes and other makes.

 

140,000 miles in a Ford. Fuel, servicing and an alternator.

16,500miles (26,500km) in 3yrs.

 

3 x pawl springs (last w/pawl arm - so hopefully sorted)

 

4 x fork seals (Ohlins - seems they just wear quick, tho Martin suggested keeping it on s/s for long periods may contribute distortion...)

 

rear brake torque arm (rubber bush tore - no real prob, but did it on warranty, new one's doing same, but no play so let it go for now)

 

2 x rear wheel bearings (too short or self shortened! spacer)

 

that's it really - nothing major.

30.000 kms on the Ghezzi.

Nothing really too dramatic happened to it.

 

1 x a DUCATI regulator, replaced under warranty

1 x a fuel pomp, replaced under warranty

 

the gearbox is a charm, i do leak a bit from the lower engine case, but that's just the engine sweating cos it exercices its muscles ;)

On what kind of Guzzi? I have 170,000+ miles on a G5 (274K km). The transmission is fine- bulletproof. The engine cylinders are fine, but the small end bushings are worn out. The big end is just fine. I also went through my share of batteries and tires, but mostly it was just changing oil, setting the valves and giving it gas.

24,000 miles on the LeMans. Got the pawl spring and a transmission leak fixed under warrantee the first year. Been fine ever since.

 

76,000 miles on the '96 Cali 1100i and it's never been apart.
