Guest Russell Posted April 24, 2006 Posted April 24, 2006 Just picked up my new Ballabio. (2004 Model) Whine in 5th gear under load. Not even 100klms yet so maybe too early to be concerned. Question is whether this is normal. A few missed shifts also, mainly into 5th or 6th. I expect these to dissapear once box is worn in a bit. Appreciate any input into this.
pete roper Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Run it in for a bit and see if it improves. if it persists in missing shifts it would probably be worth having a fiddle with the pawl adjuster. Where in Oz are you? pete

The gears are as slick as, with no whine etc. I will do as you suggest and put up a few miles and see if everything beds in. This is usually the case with minor problems. Only reason for the query was the demo bike I rode (700 klms) did not appear to have the whine in any of the gears. Regards Russ
