Yes, the idea is to scan 3d the tail, and add an airbox to it in the computer, than mill it out of wood, and use that as a mold. So the whole thing is one big airbox.

Nice write up Paul. I enjoyed the article and the pictures. I love reading about Guzzis on the track. Too bad about Guareschi on the MGS-01...

 

Do you know the story behind the pink exhaust tips on the Zanzani "La Sex Bombe" Guzzi? That's one cool old Guzzi! (except for those tips)

That's looking really good! Have you made a design yet or is that top secret?

 

I really like the open spaces behind the engine! would be a shame to fill those up with an airbox! (unless ofcourse it's really sexy looking....

I didn't ask the guy about these tips, but they are the ends of older guzzi exausts, like the ones on t3 or lm1/2. I think he is english, but had a french looking license plate.

 

Jasper, I like the open look too, a lot, but the bike loves open air intake, not the K&N filters. And sound is another thing, it's just as noisy from intake as from open exausts. I don't want to have to explain the police why the original exhaust and airbox don't fit anymore...

Sexy design, means there has to be a hooter at each side?
