Guzzirider Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 Ok here is the plan- a group of us are heading to the Erin rally in Ireland on June 8th. On Sunday 11th, my friend Magnus and I will say goodbye to our fellow travellers in Fishguard, and hot foot it down to Hampshire, stay overnight at my Mum's then get the 8am ferry to Cherbourg from Portsmouth. We will then ride through France and aim to be playing in Mandello by Tuesday night. After the obligatory museum tour and drinking session in Zanzibars, we will then head up north on the Thursday and will hopefully be at the Boxmeer Rally site on Friday afternoon. The plan is then to spend a few days in the Netherlands after the end of Boxmeer, and I am seeking ideas as to where to go and what to do. I was even thinking of riding up to Denmark just to see what it is like. Any must see places? Nice campsites? Any ideas or suggestions gratefully appreciated. Thanks Guy
macguzzi Posted May 11, 2006 Posted May 11, 2006 Visit TLM if you have not been before. Lots of good Beer bars all over the Netherlands
Guzzirider Posted May 11, 2006 Author Posted May 11, 2006 I enjoyed going to TLM last year and will probably go back because they normally have an open day on the Saturday of the rally. We will avoid Amsterdam though- not a fan of big cities on a bike. Plenty of clubs with naked ladies in Huddersfield if I want to see that sort of thing! Guy

Admin Jaap Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 If you're into WWII stuff, the war museum in Overloon (not far from Boxmeer) recently added a huge private collection of vehicles and other stuff.
