I'm going to do a valve adjustment on the Lemans and was wondering if I need to take off the fairing to get the valve covers off? It sure looks tight to get at the two rear bolts. Is this an easy job (taking off fairing)? Only looks to be held on by 4-6 screws.

Thanks!

Taking off the fairing is an easy job- mirrors, four bolts and disconnect indicators if my memory serves me correctly, but you wont need to take it off to remove valve covers.

I remove the fairing to adjust the valves.

I loosened the two bolts that attatch it to the frame, removed the one support at the head, and had no trouble getting to everything.
