Guest radiowazee Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Hey all -- UPDATED PICTURE LINK: http://www.wazee.org/ridepics/20050911/ Considering a switch to a guzzi... specifically a 2003 LeMans Rosso Corsa (possibly Nero). I've got a nicely equipped K1200RS in great condition and thought I'd see if anyone in the V11 forums was thinking about a beemer. NADA lists "average retail" for the K1200RS at $9,440 and a 2003 Rossa Corsa at $9,950 (that, of course, doesn't include any aftermarket improvements or accessories and I used my location of Denver, CO.) So, assuming equivalent miles and depending on aftermarket goodies I think an even trade should be possible. Here are some details: - Clear title - 10,400 miles, well maintained in great condition; garage kept, never dropped - Electronic cruise control - Antilock Brakes + Integrated braking System (front brake applies computer controlled pressure to both front/rear; rear brake pedal controls rear brake only) - Heated grips - S type sport mirrors and mounts (I do not have the stock RS - you wouldn't want them anyway!) - Rhinewest performance chip and full Remus exhaust replacement (headers and can); I do have the stock exhaust system if you want it - Sargent saddle; also have the stock saddle - Pirate's "stealth" backrest - BMW sport (tinted) windshield; also have clear/stock (the clear has some swirlies in it) - Bagster color-matched tank protector (white/blue to match paint scheme) and tank bag (black, mounts to the tank cover) - Will also include Chicane tank bag (forget the model name, the one made for the KRS) with integrated drinking system -- I don't suspect you'll want the water bag insert as I've had my lips all over it! You can get your own for about $12 - Black BMW system side cases (medium/regular sized lids) with Helen Two-Wheels custom fit bag liners/soft luggage - Clear turn signal lenses front and back - Aluminum guage rims on speedo, tach, etc. - BMW roundel installed on rear fender - Good rubber on Metz Z6's front/back (she has the wider 5.5 rear wheel on the back) All in I've got over $2000 in aftermarket into the bike. More pics here: http://www.wazee.org/ridepics/20050911/ I was initially looking at a LeMans but went with the K1200RS as I wanted something more comfortable for 2-up riding. Well, as it turns out we're not doing that much 2-up and I've been daydreaming about a goose. The K, in my opinion is the sportiest, sport tourer around -- works GREAT 2-up and also screams with just 1-up. I wouldn't dare to compare the K with the V11 -- really two different machines altogether. For what the K was built for, I know of no other bike that can beat it. Best way to reach me is via direct email to hkm at wazee dot org Cheers, Howard
