belfastguzzi Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 Er, was it capable of movement under its own power?! 91828[/snapback] About 6,000 years ago, possibly. Not now. JRT has one, quite similar, that moves when he moves his upper lip.
mike wilson Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 A year or two ago I posted this interesting object. I also couldn't grease the thing. On inspection, I saw that the nipple was blocked. I started pulling the blockage out. What do you make of this?! More bean counting. Most nipples have a non-return valve in the form of a spring loaded ballbearing, to prevent lube loss and contamination. This looks like a lump of felt does the same job, just not as well..... It would be fine in, say, an indoors environment, which may be comparatively clean. What's the thing at the other end? m
stogieBill Posted June 13, 2006 Posted June 13, 2006 Belfast, That's the same spring assy extending from the base. Mine didn't come with the filter element though So what did you do? I did a quick 100+ miler out Hwy 299 to scrub in the "new slippers for the Italian Ballerina" (Thanks, Doc) and everything was great. Happy trails,
