Well, so much for the "civilized" sport and fans unlike American football who everyone chides as being everything but civilized. :D

Really though the amount of nationalism in football (soccer to me) is quite amazing and something the US doesn't quite fathom I think do to our vast insular (albeit Roman-esque) mentality. I guess if the US was the size of Greece amidst a sea of other countries maybe football would be more popular here.

BTW...I'll go with Italy (safe bet of course). And the Seahawks in the superbowl (not that you care). :P

You can  see it in the pic...lol dvdvideorecording12yc.th.jpg He ia almost "riding" the other player..

AND the refery whistled it. If the violation is inside the area, is a penalty, simple football rules and since it was whistled  from the reffery that was a penalty .period

that was a really bad picture :P

but if you look closely Cannavaro's arms are below the german armpits

which hardly is climbing, rather I think the supposed foul was that the

ball was hit by a arm. From the picture it is clear the it could not have

been the arm of the defender.

I maintain that the germans got a free kick in a very very good position

for free.

The french fell into old bad habits parts of the games with the midfield

being a bit slow and too close to home leaving Henry alone and frustrated.

They still managed to eliminate most Big Phil's offensive tactics and took

the place in the finale.

This can be really good match, but I think Italy will have some success

blocking some of the french games by have Zidane under close surveillance.

2 - 0 for Italy again is my tip

What has happened to Li Azzurri????

Such a good start, rapid equaliser and I am thinking, France are no way going to win this, now after half of extra time gone, it's the old French side who look dangerous!

Will it be penalty tears?

Zidane is no hero now. Sent off for thuggery.

France 10 men and still the Azzurri can't make an impression. This is going to penalties, and I see the French winning.
