orangeokie Posted July 3, 2006 Author Posted July 3, 2006 . . . I rode the bike today and there were no problems, once I tightened the bolt on the negative battery terminal. . . . -ken 93894[/snapback] Ding ding ding . . . Ken you got me to thinking. It had run perfectly before I had the battery out, so it must be something to do with the battery. I pulled the seat and started looking around. I saw this . . . Hmmmmm . . . denso . . . that must be Spanish for "dense" . . . as in mentally challenged! So I start checking the the battery terminals to make sure everything is tight. I pull on one of the positive terminal wires and . . . . . . looky what I found. <_> Once "everthing" is properly connected she fires right up. Thanks for everyone's help. BTW . . . What do you think of my new rear end look and carbon fiber hugger?
grossohc Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Looks good, where did you get the c/f hugger. You will surely be pulled by the police for the registration plate being obscured by the light (well you would over here ). Gary
orangeokie Posted July 3, 2006 Author Posted July 3, 2006 The hugger is from an '04 RSV swinger I had on my former Falco aprilia. They can be had new for around $200 USD by clicking the pic below. I fashioned a bracket to hold it in place with the stock U.S. license plate holder and bolted it to the two screws coming out of the battery compartment, just above the shock.

Glad I could be of help, even if it isn't exactly what I had in mind! It is a little difficult to connect everything to the battery and then get it in place. It's not surprising that you missed a wire. Have fun out on the road now! Regards, -ken
Guest Aughtsix Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 It appears as though I'm too late, but I had the answer all along... And it's obvious to a skilled and careful observer such as myself. Your bike wouldn't start because your key is sitting on your desk, next to some unknown part. Glad I could help...
grossohc Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Have you identified the part yet Orangokie had a look on my bike, cant see anything the same. Gary
