Guest parvo Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 I hate those BMW cruiser bikes. If you want a harley, buy one, don't buy a BMW masquerading as one. Their engines were detuned, they are super slow and corner like a cruiser. Harley guys hate them, BMW guys hate them, the only people who like them are old men who liek things cream colored (for digestion). Just my opinion.
Guest Nogbad Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Hang on a minute! You can't win this by simply regurgitating the entire Guzzi Lightweight back catalogue! Have the beer though The van is arranged and I am collecting the lairy little beastie tomorrow. I foresee a LOT of shed time. One of the below. Martin Barrett Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Damn. Impulse purchase of a classic Guzzi.......... 93458 , ... wtf did you get noggy??? I'm gonna say a 84 lemans 93490 Not even CLOSE! So cold as to be arctic in fact. I said it was chain driven! 93492 Don't forget to young uns like Ben 84 is such a long time ago, before he can remember, 84 would be a classic The chain drive is just him not paying attention. If you wanted shed time you could just borrow mine
Guest Nogbad Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Is it one of the 4-cyl Benelli Moto Guzzis? 93529 Nope. Ok. It's a 125cc Stornello. Its a tatty runner, and I intend to fix it up for my son to learn on when he's 17. I figure no VED (too old) classic insurance (old enough) and not restricted and overcomplex like modern learner legal bikes.

I'd consider a Guzzi cali or stone but really parts and dealer network sucks right now 1 goose is enough. BMW is redicously huge even around here and I can't find anything below 4Out5 stars ppl give a star off for looks. but I think its different. I like different. I'll still be getting a Harley down the road but there are big reasons not right now and ducatis are just too expensive to own for me and around here. more test rides are in order
docc Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 I hope you'll give us a good (link to a) pic of the Stornello. It would be so fun to tinker on an old Guzzi . . . oh, wait . . . I think my y2k Sport may qualify already . . .

Damn. <_>

Damn. <_> 93559 I don't know why ppl under 50 don't like guzzi's more, I suppose the appeal of a very uncomfortable supersport with nothing but unuseable power (on the street) to buy matching leathers and try to pick up chicks lures them away from real motorcycles. I dunno about them but chicks dig my goose
