I've got a 2000 V11 Sport with a dead tachometer. Does anyone have any experience (good) with having the tach repaired? Any names of reliable repair shops would be appreciated.

YIKES! Brings back bad bad memories. . . . . .

See an account of a 5-month saga here:

What good does this little nightmare do you? Well, lacking any more recent better experience from the Forum, these guys know what they're doing, and this is a rare commodity indeed with Veglia tachs. Much may have changed in the last 18 months. They may be worth a call. Top company to deal with and they won't let you down - long's y'er not in any kinda hurry. . . . . . -_-

Good luck, Rick. ;)

First thing to check when your Tach goes out, is your headlight.

If the headlight ain't workin' then the problem is likely the starter relay.

The second thing to check is the ground.

Otherwise, I suppose the tach is dead :(

Thanks for the info. Doesn't sound to encouraging though. Can't hurt to give them a call, I suppose. I did take the back off the tach to see about a bad ground, but everything appeared ok.

Is this true? Tach shares the same relay as the headlight?
