dangerous Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 04 V11 not a year old yet and the neautral light is often not comming on in neautral, which means as soon as the side stand goes down, it cuts the engine. Ideas please on what the problem might be, and has this happened to anyone else?

If the light is not coming on would indicate that the neutral indicater switch has failed - mine was changed under warranty - I think someone did clean theirs up. Its not an uncomon problem - try search :!: ask Dr Gill about the advisablity of removing the side stand cut out switch ( NB was removed by previous owner)
docc Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Simplest thing is to check the connector at the neutral switch behind the starter. They often get loose or dirty. Next check, wiggle, clean or change the middle relay.
