guzziownr Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Is that all one piece? The, um, Auspuffanlage, looks a bit unhandy to ship DW
belfastguzzi Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Their hangers could be a better solution for Guzzi's Ti cans than the lash-up that MG supply with the Ti kit. ? A bit pricey though.

I really don't know it it was the same system but looked very much alike. After instaling the Mistral racing pipes (1500km more or less) the crossover had split appart in the middle. I suggest that you put extra strength plate accross the X (front and back) Something like the Termi crossover here as example to strengthen the whole thing (just in case)
Paul Minnaert Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Alex, I think your system was mounted tight, the terminioni sytem from the picture and the one from deas have springs, so there is no tension in the system. Funny that you have this termi picture, exactly this set is mine. I bought that, but don't know if I ever am going to mount it. It doesn't clear my swingarm, that is different than stock.

Yep the Termi has springs as well but even though the crossover is 'bridged' at the longer horn terminals. But then again every design can be different , and the mtals that are used ply their role too. What can I a if this is tested this way and doesn' give any problms on bikes then it has to be O.K. Anyways perhaps your swingarm is longer than the one that the exaust it used to fit? I didn't exactly understand where is the problem. This system was designd to fit the Sporti and DatonaRs chasis (perhaps older Daytonas too) and I have seen pics with V11's wearing it. This IS your set. I have this pc from the auction you got these Termis, it was the only pic I had handy at the moment...lol. I have the same termis , new pipes and exausts spare at my closet...lol . I still have the Mistrals on the bike, and would think getting these Termis up but they look such jewels I preffer to look at them clean ... LOL. . I also don't have the springs though, that are used to join the parts between them, any ideas on where to find such.? As you may know I bought the back pipes and Xover new in ebay (in rediculous price of 300Eur alltogether) and got the front pipes from motomecca , but they didn't have any springs..
Paul Minnaert Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 well alex, it doesn't fit because the swingarm has a lower pivot. Springs from any shop that sells aftermarket exhausts. make isn't importat, lenght is, but may vary a bit.
Admin Jaap Posted August 22, 2006 Author Posted August 22, 2006 Is that all one piece? The, um, Auspuffanlage, looks a bit unhandy to ship DW No, the headers and X-over are separate. I decided the bike needed something new and those juicy Alpine spoke wheels are still not available, so...
Dan M Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 I decided the bike needed something new and those juicy Alpine spoke wheels are still not available, so... Very nice And, oh yea, what about those spoke wheels anyway? Looks like they'll be an over the winter job if we can get them by then.

I'll check out , Where is a will there is a way , I hope you find the way to fit them nicelly on the bike Paul
big J Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Bad news,Jaap. These shiny exhaust systems may look good, but they actually decrease the power of your engine by 50% Best idea is to send the lot over here and I'll send you by return a barely used stock set up.I'm not looking for much for it,and you can send your credit card details to my cousin who is a Nigerian prince who is having a bit of trouble clearing customs with $1,000,000 of diamonds which we can cut you in on,just send us $25,000 plus your old exhaust and you're in.
belfastguzzi Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 These shiny exhaust systems may look good, but they actually decrease the power of your engine by 50% True, I would say, 'cause really dirty exhausts seem to boost power by about 50%. Martin Barrett's exhaust is so powerful it keeps blowing apart, leaving bits on the road. PS. I like the sound of that Nigerian deal. Would your cousin let me in on it?
