Relay Issues

I'm new here and am interested in owning a Guzzi. I have seen mention of relay problems and was wondering how prevalent they were and how to permanently cure them. Typically what causes the problem? Is it a wiring issue? What should I look for? Thanks for any insight.

Early model V11s had problems with the crappy relays under the seat.

 

Easy fix is to contact Dan at http://www.dpguzzi.com/relay.htm

 

He had the replacement relays to me within a week (and I'm on the other side of the world!) for a very reasonable price.

 

Haven't had a problem since.

As Rosanna Rosannadanna used to say "Nevermind". It just took me a while to get the results I wanted from the Search Engine. Seems that keeping the search as generic or simple as possible does the trick.
