Dealer is making the right nioses around a Scura so was intrested in what people have fitted weather they needed remapping was it worth it in the end? Would be intrested in specfically any direct experince with the Ghezzi Brian "Furia" styled system for the bike. Kinda like asking about tyre's or oil I know! aproximate Costs etc would also be of intrest.

As the Romans said, de gustibus non disputandum est: but boy oh boy, these pipes look horrible to me. Two pieces of bent sausages come to mind. Sorry.

It's a poor camera shot. From the side they are very reminescent of the Benelli four cylinder grand prix bike of the '60's. Swept up a bit higher though. These are hand formed aluminum and to the best of my knowledge, only one set was made and they went to Chicago. Personally, I prefer the Conti's of an older 750 Ducati or Dunstall type pipes. But then I'm an old codger and I still remember lusting after a Norton Production Racer in my dim youth.

de gustibus non disputandum est
Latin for "Guzzi's Rock!" maybe? To each his own I guess.

JRT, you definitately uncovered some sausage porn.

Evan Wilcox does great work. It was a blast to finally make it to Prescott to see some of the thrashers in living color. Did not meet Evan, but I think he was at the rally somewhere.

Murray,

I am really happy with my Quat-D muffler(ordered from Ghezzi and Brian).

Do a search of Technical Topics for Ghezzi and you will find posts with more info.

If you can wait a month or so, you may get to see dyno results of the muffler.

The muffler is just a little louder than stock, but from the riders perspective it is satisfyingly louder because the sound is not blown behind the rider as much. The sound nicely drowns out the rattliness of the engine.

I was concerned that it would feel too loud in the left ear, as I once had a 500four with a four into one kerker that deafened my right ear. This is not the case with this muffler.

Ah well, I still think they're cool. I tend to favor the older- rounder- style of parts. That said, I'm pretty happy with the Mistrals on my bike, and don't have any plans to change them out. But man, I'd love to have one of those tanks for my Tonti frame.

Cheers,

Jason
