jrt Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 OK, this one shouldn't be all that hard. I bet it's over before the day is out. I need the manufacturer, the model name, year and displacement. Difficulty- this one is a prototype. I just love the style of this bike- low and thick, I guess. The shaft drive is cool also. Too bad it never made it to market.
big J Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 I dunno what it is,looks vaguely Sunbeamy. But int that a great looking engine.
jrt Posted September 16, 2006 Author Posted September 16, 2006 no no no.... note the napkins to catch the oil leaks underneath. But I agree- I love the looks of this bike.
jrt Posted September 16, 2006 Author Posted September 16, 2006 No, but an FN was sitting next to it. Beautiful old bike...but this ain't horseshoes (an expression that means close doesn't count) edit: by "close", I meant the two bikes were close in proximity. Sorry- that didn't come out right.
big J Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 no no no.... note the napkins to catch the oil leaks underneath. But I agree- I love the looks of this bike. It's not leaking oil,its marking its territory.
DeBenGuzzi Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 I'm looking damnit.... I know I've seen one like this though not this one. I hate that. Its like its on the tip of mah tounge.
KiloSjon Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 the closest I get: the Danish Nimbus (the worlds first motorcycle with a telescopic front fork) Nimbus club Denmark Wikipedia [edit]not that close, but I can't find anything closer...[/edit]

mike wilson Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 I can't see the pictures 8-(( From the description, it sounds like a Wilkinson. The other one that springs to mind is Vauxhall.
jrt Posted September 18, 2006 Author Posted September 18, 2006 I can't see the pictures 8-(( From the description, it sounds like a Wilkinson. You can't see the pictures I posted? That's not a very fair quiz, now is it? jrt Posted September 19, 2006 Author Posted September 19, 2006 Definitely not a Brough, although it was close to one (like that helps). Gratuitious Brough picture follows. It's not a car engine.
DeBenGuzzi Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 damnit someone better get this, no one has gotten 2 stumps yet,
