soloNH Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 http://www.voxanclubdefrance.com/en-prin.htm I like the look, I agree with the LM look to the fairing. What I really like is that it has it's own unique design. Great paint scheme. Would look great on Scure girl!
dlaing Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 The Voxan is handsome, but I think I'd prefer a Guzzi powered Saxon. Awesome Machine! Is that made by the Saxon Motorcycle company that makes choppers and S&S engined bikes?
Frenchbob Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 What about a Wakan? http://www.engmore.com/home.html I wish I had never got involved in this thread: I'm thoroughly unsettled now! I had never heard of the Wakan, which looks like a motorcycle designed in someone's favourite motorcycle-designing dream. And it's French! The Saxon looks gorgeous, too.
Paul Minnaert Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Awesome Machine! Is that made by the Saxon Motorcycle company that makes choppers and S&S engined bikes? no this is an english saxon. They made/make frame with a hossack front like the swallower guzzi has, first with Laverda engines, and later with the triumph 3 cil. The last one was raced by Alan Cathcarth. LAter they have done something on the Muz scorpion design. Motodd is a name cole to that and I think Nigel Hill was the designer. http://www.saxonracing.co.uk/ http://www.richtea.demon.co.uk/laverda/gallery/mark5.htm http://www.biker.co.nz/Reviews.asp?id=154 http://www.motorcycle.com/mo/mcmail/bears/saxon.html http://www.btinternet.com/~nigel.hill4/saxtrakforks.htm maybe our english members know more about recent things from saxon, because all I can find is pretty old.
jihem Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 i rode a Voxan Cafe Racer a couple of years ago. The engine was potent enough but comes with a very annoying metallic ticking note. It's bulky to ride, but the handling was ok. All the people I know who own one had troubles with it, and terrible service apres vente... now, i think the price isn't bad considering it's really a bike that won't sell many numbers so it's a collector already and that isn't cheap. the new look is ok, if it wasn't for the fairing that is obviously a LM copy.
Frenchbob Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 All the people I know who own one had troubles with it, and terrible service apres vente... That's something to remember. Thanks. <_> The local Voxan dealer is also my Moto Guzzi dealer. All the same.............
G.POLEGATO Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 Honestly, I like much more the Hesketh Vulcan V1200,a beautiful classic motorcycle. #60
DeBenGuzzi Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 nice enough looking bikes, but I've made a personal boycott of french goods.
Frenchbob Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 nice enough looking bikes, but I've made a personal boycott of french goods. Very sensible: we send foreigners all the rubbish, anyway!
belfastguzzi Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 You are mistaken. The Hesketh is a fine motorcycle,.... uncanny. Hesketh – uncanny indeed. uncanny adjective: 'the Hesketh was uncanny' eerie, unnatural, unearthly, preternatural, supernatural, otherworldly, ghostly, mysterious, strange, unsettling, abnormal, weird, bizarre, surreal, eldritch; informal creepy, spooky, freakish, freaky.

So, sounds like an ideal ride for an evil fairy like me.... Don't you think?
belfastguzzi Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 an evil fairy like me.... I din't know that you're evil
Guest Nogbad Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 I din't know that you're evil Well, I try to maintain a facade of evilitudinousness. As a delicate elven creature with pretty wings, it is essential to my masculinity. Were I to allow my good side to come to the fore, I would probably be expected to give up the Buell and the V11 and go about in an MX 5 or a soft top Street Ka

You did say you were self-employed, so you'll have your own kit if I need a blow-dry? Edit: I said blow-DRY
