A question for you . would a year 2000 v11 seat fit a 2003 bike or are they a little shorter.

Unfortunately, they are not the same. I bought a saddle from a 2001 for my 2002. It "almost" fit.

 

Get a saddle made for your particular vintage goose.

ah well, thanks for that .there is a tenni suede seat on ebay uk and thought it would look good on a cafe sport

! Would the Tenni suede seat look good on anything other than a pub stool?

The think the only diffence is between 1999-2000 bikes versus al from the le mans. So tenni and cafe sport should not be a problem at all.

how much was it? I didn't get both seats with my Tenni, and a spare for the summer that wouldn't look crappy after a couple of trips in the rain would be cool.

I have decided against it, i found a light brown suede jacket in my wifes extensive wardrobe and had a cunning plan ( the had a few beers type of cunning plan)I wrapped it on my seat and promptly got jacket covered in copperslip, tar and some road crap Jacket hung up again, she,ll never know

Anyone here bidding on this? I'm tempted [yeah, I'm a sick puppy, got a real leather fetish! ] to offer on it, but it's listed as U.K. only, so I'd have to relay via one of the v11lm members, of which I'm certain there are .5 dozen who'd be willing to handle the chores for me [V11LM members are the best!], but I wouldn't want to be raising the price for someone here if they're trying to get this for theirself!

 

There's about 16 hours left on the auction, so there should be plenty of time for whomever is bidding on it to read this & get back to me if they're an V11LM'er before I have to bid... & who knows? Maybe by that time the price will go over the amount I'd be willing to pay?
