Paul Minnaert Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 From the anima guzzista forum: the whole ( short) story So it seems not introduced and is at a dealer, the italian way? http://www.guzzisti.it/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=16964 Two more http://img119.imageshack.us/my.php?image=1200ssp5.jpg http://img231.imageshack.us/my.php?image=guzzi1200sho6.jpg
DeBenGuzzi Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 its just a breva with a different wind screen, maybe the larger motor? anyone sure? looks like a fancyh breva to me.
helicopterjim R.I.P. Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 More photo's. Breva 1100 vs Sport 1200
Paul Minnaert Posted October 2, 2006 Author Posted October 2, 2006 No jim, the red/grey one is a photoshop. not the real one.
helicopterjim R.I.P. Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Dang foreigners that don't write in English. Oh well.
Richard Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 It just looks like a spruced up breva. Even if it's a factory one, it doesn't look like they've done much to it other than put the 1200 motor in it, given it a new paint job and screen and wavy front brake disks. Not really a big effort for a 'sport' model!!
jihem Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Not really a big effort for a 'sport' model!! ...yes, and what a odd way to start a new model...I guess that's Piaggio's idea of viral marketing
DeBenGuzzi Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 I still like it a little more than the standard breva, if the price isn't much higher I may get one at some point. especially if something happened to my V11.
grossohc Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 would like to see more photos, see how much faster/better it is ,and it needs usd forks. Cant see me trading in the cafe sport for it, but you never know. Gary
Alex-Corsa Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 Does the S stand for "Skunk"? Sink? I looked and saw that model on their site, though it isn't in the list of the models yet. In the Sport secsion only the MGS1 appears (at the moment) So what does S stands for?
wsholar Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 ...and it needs usd forks. Cant see me trading in the cafe sport for it... looks like it wants to be a Scura when it grows up and develops a pair of testicles.
coz1100 Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 you're right, its just a spruced up breva. but, I bet if you could get a set of clip-ons or maybe even a set of clubmens to work on thier with some good rear sets. that might look interesting. Was that a seat cowl they had on the back? that things gotta go. deffinitly need something to improve the lines in the tail section. Z
Guest Jeff in Ohio Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 The 1200 Sport is now on the front page of motguzzi.it The write up mentions the availability of a dedicated racing kit. Keen observers will note that the fork tubes have a slick black anti-friction coating on them.....
