For US guys - Pirelli tire deal

Looks like a good deal no matter what , but . . . What is Diablo "Supersport?" I've used Corsa, Strada and the undesignated Diablo (Normale?).

I like the Corsa front and Strada rear combo. This deal . . . I wonder . . .?

I think they're the "undesignated" ones.

with my time to ride lately I probably won't need tires next summer. But these promo's seem to come along every 6mo's or so. I'll just hold off. tho it would be nice I have plenty of tread on my Scorpion Sync's nice grip too, even decent in gravel and grass.

Link here.

$150 - 170 for the set depending on rear tire size. Enjoy.

I ordered up my set, good timing as I was beginning to shop new skins for my worn out Stradas. If the pic is what will be delivered they will be Diablo Corsas. FWIW, I have gotten nearly 12K miles out of the Stradas. As usual for me the rear is going first.

I just ordered the Cycle Gear Pirelli Diablo SuperSport deal mentioned here, but then I discovered the following:

http://www.diablo.getpirelli.com/

where they are currently offering the Diablo CorsaIII

Which is a better tire????

The www.diablo.getpirelli.com offer is sold out, but the Cyclegear deal does not end till this Saturday....but they changed the available tire to Metzeler M1s

  • 3 weeks later...

The Diablos finally arrived. They are neither Corsa nor Strada. 'Normale' I would say.

I guess 'Supersport' doesn't really mean anything. Still this was a good deal for Pirellis.

I remember there is a code in th mold for date of manufacture. Does anyone remember how to read that?

I could not get enough of this deal, so when the ran out of the Pirellis I also got the Sportec M1s.

The date codes are a little odd.

Diablo front is 0706 rear is 1306

M1 front is 1106 rear is 1506

The M1s do look fresher, especially the m1 front, dated 1106.

Not sure if I am looking at the right number, but it is the closest thing to looking like a date that I could find.
