belfastguzzi Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 On assembly, I'd use some coppaslip to make the job of extraction a bit easier next time. If the spacer is a bit short you would be best addressing that, so that the bearing doesn't get wrecked again. 113mm sounds right though. Can you determine if it is the right length for the hub or can you see another reason why that one bearing went south?
rower307 Posted October 17, 2006 Author Posted October 17, 2006 The bearing wasn't bad yet, I just noticed a little rough feel in it when I had the wheel off. I think it got some grit in it from rainy riding. When I pulled it apart the grease & bearing look OK. The spacer is exactly the same length as the bearing shoulders. I gonna try it with the new bearings & keep an eye on it.
