belfastguzzi Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 What! Pressure, pressure! Don't feel sorry for Honda, but pity for NH Team Yamaha V Team Honda only one is holding it together at the moment (only lap 10 so we'll see later, when the fat lady sings)
belfastguzzi Posted October 15, 2006 Author Posted October 15, 2006 EXTRAORDINARY last lap and finish "Shakespeare (who he?) couldn't have written this!" EXPLOSIVE, SPECTACULAR
Guzzirider Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Best race of the year so far- Elias was just brilliant and entertaining. Fair play to Rossi too- he was right on the limit when he could just have relaxed and settled for second place- but that is not Rossi's style. I really feared for Nakano- glad he is not too badly hurt. Looking forward to the next round! Guy P.S. 2006 Manx GP is on Men And Motors this afternoon- think it is about 5pm. Includes Senior Classic with some of the road racing regulars like Lougher on Manx Nortons etc.
antonio carroccio Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Best race of the year so far- Don't forget Mugello <_>
andy york Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 I've seen some stupid moves in my time ...but andy
v50man Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Just finished watching the tape-delayed race on Speed TV. Sick to my stomach for Hayden. Happy for Elias. And to think, I was really beginning to like Pedrosa. Tragically, though, I believe that he (Pedrosa) is the sport's future. Ugh...
jihem Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 i guess the explanation back at the team's hospitality was less than friendly. What a stupid move from Pedrosa. I feel sorry for Nicky, potentially losing the title like this is a shame. now, what about that Valencia GP? IS IT GOING TO BE HOT OR WHAT ? on a different note, it seems like Stoner was torpilled by the rider he will apparently replace at Ducati. Does the phrase 'we just got ourselves a new Xaus' ring a bell at Borgo Panigale ?
antonio carroccio Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 There is a big chance Loris will start there with a 800cc engine. We'll see...
Guzzirider Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 It was a silly mistake made at the worst time- but all racers do this sort of thing from time to time- remember Rossi taking out Melandri earlier in the season? The Ilmor 800cc bike went pretty well- it seems as though the lap times won't be massively different next year. Guy
jihem Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 There is a big chance Loris will start there with a 800cc engine. We'll see... ah ? already ? that would be such a bold but great move. can u tell us more ?
soloNH Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 How does that saying go....THATS RACING FOR YA! What a shame, poor Nick, was he pissed or what! If you look at the slow-mo. Danny's bike punches Nick's right out of his hands. Could have been worse. I would be livid, out for blood. Pedrosa is very competitve for sure but he isn't close enough in points to really make a difference is he? Look at Colin working for his team and helping Rossi and here you have DP going toe to toe against his team mate. WTF! If NH had been able to work his way up front we would have been able to see a true head to head race with Rossi, Oh well... Elias was hot to watch! How bad was Nakano hurt?
helicopterjim R.I.P. Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 It may be noted in the interview but the numbers show that if Nicky Hayden wins the last race and Dani Pedrosa comes second (or anyone else except Rossi) then Nicky will be champion. That would be a way for Dani to make it up to Nicky!!
belfastguzzi Posted October 15, 2006 Author Posted October 15, 2006 It may be noted in the interview but the numbers show that if Nicky Hayden wins the last race and Dani Pedrosa comes second (or anyone else except Rossi) then Nicky will be champion. That would be a way for Dani to make it up to Nicky!! NH says, in the interview: that's exactly what he has said to DP Says he needs him there S'pose DP could swat VR off the track. That would make for an electric final.
soloNH Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Maybe Just maybe We could get those guys from Her Magistry's Secret Service to fab up a special oil spray device like James Bond had on his Aston Martin. Dan's mission would to get in front of Rossi then press some little button.........zip ....... all sins forgiven. PEDROSA, DAN PEDROSA.......Lisence to kill Kill championships that is! Whoo hooo.
