when do you stick the guzzi in for remapping?

I have a le mans 03..I was wondering when does the bike go to the shop for remapping...I was told it was at 10,000 km...What is remapping?

Lastly, does the bike just go just for regular oil, filter changes as other bikes would? is there any computer that does calibration for whatever...idling.. etc?

You've either got a very clever mechanic/shop or you missunderstood something. No regular remapping, of course.

 

Maybe it was at 10.000 because at this time there was an update available from Guzzi. This could make sense.

SO everything from here is all manual maintenace? remapping is only done when an updated version of its ecu is available... idling, tapet adjustments are all done manually? Sorry for the ignorance. thanks for your patience
