gthyni Posted May 31, 2003 Posted May 31, 2003 Has anyone used supertrapps on Guzzis or otherwise? Experience - quality, sound, added performance? http://www.supertrappind.com/MotorcycleATV...rtbike_page.htm
Guest Brian Robson Posted May 31, 2003 Posted May 31, 2003 i used a S"Trapp on a Honda 600. Excellent quality, very durable, as for the internal discs, I used them simply to get the noise that I liked and the bike ran exactly the same in all gears at all speeds (seat of the pants and plug colours). Much lighter than a stock system.
Mike Stewart Posted June 1, 2003 Posted June 1, 2003 Which Supertrapp were you thinking of using? I was looking also and I liked the 4 inch. megaphone with a 2 inch inlet. Mike
Guest Jeff Kelland Posted June 1, 2003 Posted June 1, 2003 I ran these on a HD XR1000. These were preKerker pipes but they look like they are still the same, excellent quality and the sound is adkustable, more discs=more noise. I didn't see an application for guzzi though. If they make them for my le mans I would definately consider them.
Guest Le Man Posted June 1, 2003 Posted June 1, 2003 I had a Supertrapp system on my 1998 HD FXRS. Loved the sound and the look. As mentioned you can add and subtract discs to change the sound. I had a billit megaphone tip on mine (an option) Mike
Guest gavin Posted June 1, 2003 Posted June 1, 2003 I definately agree with all of the above, they should be fantastic on a Guzzi. I am using a 'White Brothers' exhaust on my tuned XR600, its the same sort of design as 'Supertrapp', ie tunable by means of adding or removing discs, sounds great and is excellent quality. Worth checking them out to see if fitment is possible (wish I had thought of it before buying Mistrals........). Gavin
gthyni Posted June 1, 2003 Author Posted June 1, 2003 Kerker Meg: http://www.supertrappind.com/MotorcycleATV.../meg_series.asp or the universal 4" external disc megaphone which is available in 2" inlet: http://www.supertrappind.com/Universals_pa.../universals.htm should look good on my V11. Either way I think you have to throw together some mountpoint yourself.
