rocker59 Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 - GRISO 1200cc 8 valve - CUSTOM 940cc - NORGE 850cc We will see in few days if is true or not... Norge 850, maybe... The other two, no way... I think we'll see a Quota replacement and some version of a road-going MGS-01.
Greg Field Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Could be anything really. What they show doesn't have to run or be economically producable or even possible. They show it one year and maybe it hits the market three years later. The best thing they could do would be to show NOTHING that is not ready for market that very day. Any other strategy runs counter to the company's and customer's best interests.

Things like the V10/V11 GT and the Ippogriffo were wastes of time and money to put on the show circuit if they weren't going to put them in production. Showing an MGS-01 Strada was just cruel to Guzzi Sportbike enthusuasts. Dream bikes may be good for big companies. Guzzi needs to show production bikes.

That is precisely what Guzzi has been doing since it has been acquired by the Piaggio Group: Models presented in spring or fall (i.e. Breva and Griso 850, 1200 Sport) were immediately available in the shops the day of the press release. Models presented at the winter expo (i.e. Norge) were in the shops the following spring. So all the three models presented next week in Milan will be available at the latest around march 2007. My guess is actually that the Norge 850 might be available even soon. G. Norge 850, maybe... The other two, no way... Wanna bet? G.

jihem Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 hey, this is not right : i'm not used of italian motorbikes companies NOT leaking infos before the machine is actually on the show
Guest goffredo Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 I guess time will tell... You can trust me. I've never posted a hoax on this forum. Let's say that if there are people out there who were prepared to buy a Griso but actually wanted something more... spicy, say a brand new engine with 4valves per cylinder, with more torque and power and a layout more refined in terms of design, with the coolest exhaust ever designed... Well, come to Milan and have your cheque book ready! I said nothing, this message will self-destruct in 5... 4... 3... G.

helicopterjim R.I.P. Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Don't let Ben find out there is an Aprilia V4 coming. He'll need a drool catcher!!
Paul Minnaert Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 well, is the griso 4v is a nice bike, I can understand that they came with the 1200sport before eicma, to get attention for that too. Otherwise the 4v griso would have gotten all the attention.
