You may have read that Valentino Rossi has entered the WRC Rally Of New Zealand and he has now moved up from 24th, to 11th place in his privately entered Subaru.

Well what can you say, ...the guy is good!!

l've had the very good fortune to watch a couple of very fast rally stages and to compete/drive at that level is somewhat amazing........those guys are good!!

And to think that that ponsi F1 champ Fernando Alonso said that Rossi wasn't all that hot during Rossi's trials with Ferarri ...sour grapes!!

yes BUT rally and F1 are very different as MotoGP and F1 are so different. they are like apples oranges and pears, other than they are all motor races they are completely different. while I may be good at chess and stratego I suck at checkers.

Moto GP vs F1 vs WRC ??

Different horses for different courses you say?

Yes, BUT Rossi has climbed to the very top of Moto GP 5 times, and with different bikes/teams/classes etc. he's proven he can get an F1 car round a track in a competitive time, and now proven that he can compete in the highest level of 4 wheeled competition, WRC Rallying, so he gets my vote..

l like Rossi, he's a fantastic rider and has real character.

During his testing with Ferarri he was getting alot of press and Fernando Alonso , the current F1 champ, was asked what he thought of Rossi, his response was, Rossi was just ok, but that he (Alonso) would be as competetive or more, given track time on a Moto GP bike....

Rossi responded by saying that it would be interesting to see the champion from each field compete in each others events and see who would come out on top.....that would be fun indeed.

Alonso is a deluded boor -- but one helluva race car driver.

 

Next to Rossi he is roadshow -- at best...

 

Motorcycle racers can race cars quite easily. The opposite -- not so true.........
