Guest jim fordham Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 I sat down in the workshop looking at the R . wondering where shes going to take me in 2007. It's just had a service and a new set of sticky hoops. The weather is crap at the mo, so the old girls been sat for a month. I need a plan for next year, I want to do Le man 24 car race again and maybe Ireland (although my guts still are not right). Where might I find other V11,s hiding over the next 12 months What's the plan, and do we need the A team. Jim
Alex-Corsa Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 When is the LeMan thing going on? I think to go there , never been. Plenty of meetings come around in Europe , then there is this German V11 meeting in July I think.

Martin Barrett Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 you ve got me interested now when , where and how many. spil the beans jim This thread Jim I've not committed yet to this one yet. Just waiting to make sure it doesn't clash with Ireland. It was the same weekend as the Boxmeer last year but they're not this year. I did it as a 3 day last year and was a lot of motorway slog to do so. Jaaps offered up as a staging post so a 5 dayer makes it look better proposition, take in nicer roads and company on route. A good time with Jaap, Antonio, Chris and Jane last year, good to make acquaintances again, though it was less than a month since I'd seen Chris and Jane . The Germans were friendly as well
Admin Jaap Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 German meeting = and I hope this year Jaap's got a better map so can we get there before dark falls. So you're going again?
jihem Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 there's this magic thing happening last week end of june, in Italy. see, the Assen MotoGP is run on saturday, and they have a giant screen up at the Ducati factory, in Bologna. And, on sunday, you have the World Superbike racing near Rimini. Furthermore, in 2007, the WDW is happening that very same week. I did the first WDW in 1998 and it was an awesome experience. it's years i want to do that magic week: riding down to Italy on wednesday and thursday, spend the friday in Mandello, going to Bologna on saturday and down to the WSBK racing on sunday... yeah. talk about a great week
antonio carroccio Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 jihem; I would like to go too this weekend in Bologna Do you know if the MotoGP Mugello is in the same weekend? or the weekend after?
jihem Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 Do you know if the MotoGP Mugello is in the same weekend? or the weekend after? no, Mugello is early June... but ooops, i tumbled on the wrong dates...It's the other way round and actually NOT the same week end. Sorry about this. But still it's a great week... SBK Superbike 25/06 in Misano WDW in Misano (chillin', droolin'lots of activities with the ducatisti, trackday at Misano) MotoGP 30/06 Hollande (Assen) saturday: giant screen at the factory in Bologna
Guzzirider Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 Got a plan- First proper rally of the year is Scottish Rally first May bank holiday weekend- are you Solent guys still riding up, Jim? Off to Europe first 2 weeks of June- will possibly take ferry to Bilbao then play in the Pyrenees for a while before heading up through France and finishing off with Boxmeer Rally. There will be 9 of us including Jockguzzi and Mal. Getting married in July- I will be riding to the ceremony on my V11, then we will be honeymooning in Applecross in the Scottish Highlands- on our V11s of course. I go insane this time of year because of the weather, and dream of empty summer roads in the mountains somewhere.....
Orson Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 Either south to Sicily then ferry over to Sardinia and back to Italy... or Brittany and Normandy then across La Manche to the UK.

Let me know if you want to go for a ride at some time. Sorry I couldn't make it to the Solent meet on Friday - the bike is the only transport I have is the bike and it was absolutely sh1tting it down....... Richard
