ALdad Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 I just had the tranni recall done on my new 2000 sport. the bike has 2,600 mi. I plan on commuting daily in city traffic, many stops lots of shifting. I do about 10kmi. a year. After reading all the stuff about the spring failures I am now totally paranoid. It sounds like it's a matter of when and not if the spring is going to fail. All the opinions on this forum are from 2003. Anything new on this issue. . Is there a concensus on what kind of preventative measure I should take. Where can I get the best spare spring to have around. Are there any avalible that don't break? I hate being worried about getting stranded or having to do a unexpected half day repair. Cheer!! Alan
