Tire pressures from the manual:

 

Front wheel: 1 up: 2,3 BAR (~34psi.); 2 up: 2,4 BAR (~35psi.);

Rear wheel: 1 up: 2,5 BAR (~35psi.); 2 up: 2,6 BAR. (~37psi.);

summer: 2.3 front---2.7rear

winter (wet) 2.3 front---2.4/2.3 rear. Better grip with low speed.

Some consideration should be made to the tires pressure readings on the tires you have. Tire pressures for pre '02 V11's are for Bridgstone BT57's, no longer available.

i'm using Dunlop 207.

front 2.5

rear 2.9

 

i got these figures from the Dunlop salesman himself.

All supplied numbers are suggested starting points, based on assumed average loads and uses. The actual pressures that will work best for any given situation will vary (sometimes quite dramatically) from these unless it bears a close resemblance.

When I had tires put on a year or so ago, I found they were inflated to 42psi. I have used various pressures from the 2 up recommended (as quoted from "Slug" above) up to 42, with no ill effect. Typically I inflate the tires a bit more on colder days. My bike is very sensitive to anything less than the 35/37 combination. k

A few years ago I experimented with higher pressures and harder tires to get more miles out of the rear.

 

I learned that traction can be compromised and swingarms can get bent.

 

Now I keep 33 in the front Diablo and prefer the Corse, and 37-39.5 in the rear ( the higher for greater load, hotter temperatures and higher sustained speeds), preferring the Strada.

 

Tires and oil get changed at about the same interval.
