ptrkbeam Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 I wanted to intoduce myself since I now own a LeMans. I'm Patrick Beaman. I live in Katy, TX. I made a few visits to MPH, which is close by, asking a lot of questions, riding a Stone and an EV, really wanting a Griso but thinking the Breva would be better suited to me. But I then learned of the Norge and actually had a deposit in for one of the first ones to arrive. The MG promotion was even approved by my financial manager ( my bride, Stella ). I was riding a metric cruiser that was perfectly OK, but wanted a Guzzi. When all the hoopla over the red Norge started, in one of Todd's photos I noticed a LeMans in the background. Saw it, rode it, traded the cruiser and rode the LeMans home. Not a Norge or Griso, but one heck of a cool bike. I am happy with my '02 LeMans! Mike, Todd and everyone at MPH are first class. Thanks, pb
Martin Barrett Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Welcome Patrick, Next thing to do is post a picture up on This thread you are allowed to be in the picture complete with Cheshire Cat grin
rossoandy Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 welcome to the clan... You have made a lifechanging decision buying a GUZZI. Your life is about to be made so much more complete.....no longer can you go to the garage wheel your bike out and expect it to start instantly (it prob will but it might not), now you will return after parking your bike to face a group of admiring bystanders, now you will be able to spend time cleaning and checking your new pride n joy and making sure nothings falling off it, now you will know what its like to wait weeks/months for spares, now your hands may go numb with vibration, now you will spend hours browsing websites and magazines looking for those go faster/shinier bits to fit, now you will learn the dark art of maintaining a piece of pushrod twin history, now every corner will be an adventure to perfect, now you can really begin to live!!!! But.....if you accept these little issues.....you will never look back and enjoy motorcycling as it should be. I'll never part with mine......its a real motorbike. apologies 4 the waffle folks......
