DeBenGuzzi Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 is sarcasm lost when it crosses the pond, we obviously seem to often misinterput each other sarcasm for serious personal attacks. I'm seldom serious and often irrelevent to the topic at hand. Take this one for instance I give it 3 posts till its completely off topic, if it makes it that far telephone, or bong? it would explain a lot if it was the latter
callison Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 I think that's a depiction of Alexander Bell's assistant calling him (Bell) from the adjoining room at the first successful test of the telephone.
DeBenGuzzi Posted January 21, 2007 Author Posted January 21, 2007 I think that's a depiction of Alexander Bell's assistant calling him (Bell) from the adjoining room at the first successful test of the telephone. yeah I know, but it looks like a bong, and maybe things would have been better if it was and besides what did bell ever do for us besides mabell now edison there was a sadistic inventor one could get behind take THAT tesla! TRIPPY
Guzzirider Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 is sarcasm lost when it crosses the pond Yes the Gulf Stream sometimes sends it to Spain, missing us entirely! P.S. Don't worry Ben- I get you- but there are some sensitive souls out there!
jrt Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 Shoot, it made it past three.... Ben, if I ever see you slander Alexander Graham Bong again, I'll drive up to South Canada and start kicking some ass and drinking foreign beer! And besides, the King of Denmark is a socialist. There, that ought it get things started and I'm not even across the pond.

DeBenGuzzi Posted January 21, 2007 Author Posted January 21, 2007 we passed three posts so allow me to sliiiide but the new Christopher Nolan movie (The Prestige) is awesome and features...David Bowie as Tesla. that movie, while slightly outlandish and makes you keep thinking about it afterwards, rocked!
DeBenGuzzi Posted January 21, 2007 Author Posted January 21, 2007 I bet BFG's just jealous he didn't come up with this topic.
ferguzzi Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 Actually, I'm still trying to figure out what the topic is. The line between sarcasm and surrealism is getting a little blurred.
DeBenGuzzi Posted January 22, 2007 Author Posted January 22, 2007 Actually, I'm still trying to figure out what the topic is. The line between sarcasm and surrealism is getting a little blurred. there really is no topic, well there is a little bit that some ppl don't understand sarcasm or take offense to it. Really nothing more than a glorified BFG thread.
mike wilson Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 I think you may have inadvertently posted to the wrong board. Whereas here there may be one or two here who occasionally get the wrong end of the stick, there are other boards where the majority get the wrong stick. p.s. Edison was a thieving, lying git.
stormsedge Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 I don't know what it is, but I have one in my spare parts bin...if it will make better gas mileage, tell me how to hook it up.
Frenchbob Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 Would someone with a toe in the real world explain, please? Have I missed something again ? Should I be taking something that everyone else is already on?
